PLEASE BE ADVISED: Kindergarten students may not be qualified for free or reduced-price meals on the first day of school. Remember to send ALL new students with lunch money for the first week or until notified of your application results. Thank you.
Free and Reduced Price Meals are available to families who believe they may qualify. If your family chooses to apply please complete a "Free and Reduced Meal Price Application Form." The forms can be obtained in any school office. Please return your completed application to your cafeteria as soon as possible (please do not ask your child to give them to their teacher as this may cause unnecessary delay in processing and a delay in receipt of benefits to your children.) You will be notified, by mail, of your child's status. Until you are notified you must provide your child with a lunch or lunch money.
Please submit only one application per household. The information you give will be used to determine or prove your child(ren)'s eligibility for free or reduced-priced meals. This information may also be used for other state or federally funded school benefits.
Factors considered in the application process are household size and total household income. HOUSEHOLD SIZE is considered all persons, related or unrelated, including, but not limited to, parents, all children, and grandparents who live in your home and share living expenses.
INCLUDE FOSTER CHILDREN on a family application. It is not necessary to submit a separate application for EACH Foster Child. Please include your Foster Child(ren) on the same application as the rest of your children.
The TOTAL HOUSEHOLD INCOME is the income each household member received last month before taxes - this includes wages, social security, pension, unemployment, welfare, child support, alimony, and any other cash income (including any money withdrawn from any savings that is used for the purpose of household maintenance).
